IVANKO HISTORICAL SOCIETY
The Ivanko Historical Society is dedicated to the preservation of historical records, products, and paraphernalia related to the strength industry. The Society's archives include the collections of Bert Elliott, Mac Batchelor, Roy Simonson, and Vic Boff, with original materials from David Willoughby, Wally Pullum, Joseph L. Marino, and Tom Ivanko. The Society purchased the Jackson Barbell Company's written & physical archive, and has more recently acquired early examples of kettlebells, globe barbells, Indian clubs, and barbell plates, including an extensive collection of "Grip Plates" from the 19th century to present. We are looking for a few passionate truth seekers to join the cause. There is still a lot of digging to do. There are a lot of interesting barbell designs and records to uncover.
