GENERAL CLEANING OR REMOVAL OF WATER SPOTS.
1. Before attempting to clean the mirror, use compressed air (e.g., Dust Off, which can be found in most photographic stores) to insure that all dust and debris is safely removed from the mirror.
2. To clean finger prints or water spots, you can use an “optical grade” cleaning cloth (no lint) and Windex.
3. Apply Windex to the cloth until the cloth is damp (saturated) but not dripping.
4. Clean the mirror in one direction. With each pass, use a fresh part of the cloth.
REPAIR OF DINGS & DIMPLES ON YOUR MIRRORS.
Using a heat gun (350 ̊F) can be effective in removing “dings” and “dimples” from the mirror. Care must be taken. Holding the heat gun 1/2 " to 1" from the mirror, direct the gun in circular fashion and work your way towards the outside edges.
Though not all damage may be repaired to your mirror, our Glassless Mirrors are quite resilient to minor damage with the proper treatment and care. Questions can be directed to us through our customer service department.
SAMPLE MIRRORS.
If you are considering a purchase of Ivanko Glassless Mirrors but have yet to do so, we suggest you obtain, at a minimal cost, a small sample mirror, in order to judge whether our mirrors may suit your needs.
